The term “VCI” stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor.The chemicals in Daubert Cromwell products are volatile. When metals are wrapped or packaged in VCI, the chemicals volatilize in the packaging environment, forming a protective molecular layer on the surface of the metal.
